FEES AND FUNDING

Out Loud Developmental Services provides a fee-for-service care for clients.  Families may also be able to access funding through the following programs:

Private Health Care

We are registered with most major health funds. Some of our fees can be claimed back through your private health insurance depending on your level of cover. We recommend you contact your fund to discuss your individual situation.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Out Loud is an approved NDIS service provider. Whether you agency manage, self-manage or plan manage your NDIS funding, Out Loud can provide services for you. Out Loud also partners with Anderson Neurological and Developmental Services to provide families with a transdisciplinary model for Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Psychology services.

Medicare

Additional rebates may be available for Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services under Medicare. Depending on the complexity and/or diagnosis of a child a GP may be able to activate the following plans:

Out Loud periodically reviews our fees against the recommendations made by our professional bodies.  Please contact us for our current full fee and service schedule.  We aim to support families in accessing our services and attempt to be flexible in providing options for care. We are happy to discuss the funding and service options for clients wishing to access services.

Notes

Cancellation:

Out Loud strives to support families in accessing services, and realises that events happen that result in appointments being cancelled.  We request that when possible, families provide a minimum of 48 hours notice for a cancellation to assist us in offering the appointment to another family.  While we understand that this is not always possible, Out Loud reserves the right to charge a family the full fee if an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.

Non Attendance:

Out Loud operates under the belief that families are the driving force behind therapy sessions.  Therefore,   if a client misses a session without contacting the therapy team to cancel, it becomes the family’s responsibility to contact Out Loud to discuss future therapy services.  Please note: non attendance will incur full fee charges for the missed session before further therapy sessions can recommence.

Service Length:

Out Loud offers a range of appointment types depending on the needs of a child.  Please note that for children requiring support for complex needs, sessions are generally booked at 60 minutes.  Of this hour appointment, most appointments consist of 45 minutes with our clients, with the remaining time used to co-ordinate with the team around the child, and communicate with any community agencies (e.g. schools).
