Meet our Occupational Therapy Team

Amy Messer
Amy is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud. She graduated from Curtin University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and has worked across a variety of areas in Perth, regional WA and Canada. She has returned to the South West and re-engaged with her passion for paediatrics. Amy is focused on delivering family-centred services to assist in daily activities and achieving goals as a team.

Courtney Mercer
Courtney is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud, with a special interest in play and the first 1000 days. She graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2013 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. Courtney has experience in South Africa and Western Australia journeying alongside families and schools to support children and their development. Courtney is inspired to provide supportive and meaningful therapy to children and families and finds great joy in being part of their story. She believes that there is nothing more rewarding than helping parents to nurture their children in a way that helps them reach their full potential. Outside of the therapy space, you will find Courtney paddling in the ocean or hiking in nature alongside her adventure-loving family.

Elissa Preddy
Elissa is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud Developmental Services who graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (Honours). She loves that she has the opportunity at Out Loud to support children and their families to increase opportunities for participation and independence in all meaningful activities. Outside of work Elissa enjoys cooking, staying fit, camping and playing board games with her friends and family.

Morag Nieuwenhuyze
Morag, also known as Mogs, is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud Developmental Services. She graduated in 2008 from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (Honours). Morag moved to Perth, WA in 2010 and enjoyed having some time off to travel. Over the years, Morag has worked within mental health, neurology, paediatrics, disability, injury management, WAPOL, Department of Veteran Affairs, and management. Morag is passionate about person centred practice and working collaboratively with families to achieve their goals. When not at work, Morag is a busy mum to her two girls and enjoys running and spending time with her family and friends.

Paige Wheatley
Paige is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud Developmental Services, who graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2024. Paige is passionate about helping young children and their families participate in meaningful activities and achieve their goals. Away from work, Paige enjoys travelling WA and helping out on her family farm.

Tahlia Cross
Tahlia is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud Developmental Services, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (Honours) from Curtin University in 2024. Returning to the South West, Tahlia has a passion for empowering children and their families to engage in meaningful activities and achieve their goals within their community. Outside of work, Tahlia loves spending her free time at the beach and travelling with family and friends.
