Laura has been working as a Speech Pathologist since 2000 and has been lucky enough to work across Regional Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Victoria and the United Kingdom. She is passionate about providing family-centred services across regional areas and working closely with all members of the community to ensure communication goals are incorporated into everyday activities. On moving back to her home state of WA, Laura founded Out Loud in 2013 with the aim of establishing a local service that meets individual family needs. Laura has two little girls and an amazing stay-at-home husband, and outside of work enjoys running, camping and spending time with her husband and two girls.
Bree graduated with first class honours in 2014 and started as a Speech Pathologist with Out Loud soon after. She is passionate about making a difference to children's ability to communicate, in particular, those with complex needs. She also enjoys working with children with speech sound difficulties and language delays. At home she enjoys taking her dog Snickers to the beach, spending time with her family and trying new places to eat with her partner Scott.
Kelsie is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud. Kelsie graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Kelsie has been living in the south west for the past 3 years and worked across a number of different areas before finding her niche in paediatrics. She is passionate about her role as an Occupational Therapist and works hard to ensure a strengths-based, collaborative and family-centred style of care for all of her clients. Kelsie has a special interest in sensory processing and helping clients reach their full potential. Kelsie currently holds the position of Convener for the South West Occupational Therapy Professional Development Network. When Kelsie is away from work she enjoys camping, stand-up paddle boarding, entertaining her two dogs and a GOOD cup of tea!
Amy is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud. She graduated from Curtin University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and has worked across a variety of areas in Perth, regional WA and Canada. She has returned to the South West and re-engaged with her passion for paediatrics. Amy is focused on delivering family-centred services to assist in daily activities and achieving goals as a team.
Rachel is a Speech Pathologist at Out Loud. Rachel graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology. Rachel is passionate about increasing her clients' quality of life by improving their ability to communicate with a family-centred care approach. In her spare time Rachel enjoys playing netball, swimming, spending time with her family and playing with her dog Huxley.
Melissa De Marte
Mel is a Speech Pathologist at Out Loud. She graduated from Curtin University in 2012 and worked in Perth for 6 years with hearing impaired children before moving to the South West for love. Mel is passionate about making a difference to children with complex speech needs and working with school-aged clients. Outside of work, Mel loves to cook, and get creative with her sewing machine.
Alex is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud. She is passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential, and assisting families in working though various challenges. With a background in yoga therapy, massage, swim teaching and support care, Alex enjoys encouraging children to become more in tune with their bodies and minds. Outside of work Alex enjoys exploring the coastline for new surfing and diving locations, and spending time with her friends and family.
Emily is a Speech Pathologist at Out Loud. She loves working with children and their families to support their speech and language goals to ensure that children can communicate and participate in any activity they choose. Emily enjoys camping, keeping fit and listening to live music.
Catherine is an Occupational Therapist at Out Loud. She graduated from Curtin University in 2007 and since then has lived and worked in the South West across a range of areas including paediatrics, disability, aged care, community health and the not-for-profit sector. She is married to a school Principal and has three children and loves to travel.
Michelle is a Therapy Assistant at Out Loud. Michelle has previously worked in an educational setting, gaining her Certificate III and IV in Educational Support and Working with Children with Special Needs. Michelle is passionate about supporting the needs of all children. Outside of Out Loud, Michelle enjoys all things creative. She loves to do acrylic paintings and is a face and body artist. Michelle loves a variety of music and in her spare time enjoys singing and playing guitar.
Brittany is a Therapy Assistant at Out Loud. Brittany has a special interest in early intervention services and ABA therapies. Brittany is passionate about working with children on the spectrum and has been working to grow her knowledge and experience in this area. Brittany has three young children and outside of work and family loves to read and keep fit.
Caroline is a Therapy Assistant at Out Loud, servicing Manjimup and Bridgetown. Caroline graduated from Curtin University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science (Health Promotion). Caroline moved with her three girls to the South West in 2010, where she started working in schools with children with special need,s and she has extended her love for this area in her role at Out Loud. Outside of work, Caroline is passionate about studying the benefits and discipline of meditation.
Vivien is Out Loud's off-site Office Manager. She originally joined our team as a Therapy Assistant working with children but now helps families with bookings, mans the phone lines and makes sure we have everything we need to support families. In her spare time, Viv can be found at yoga or experimenting in the kitchen with her special interest in nutrition and cooking.
Kylie is Out Loud's Practice Manager. While she may be spotted manning reception at our new building, she is generally hidden away working with the therapy team to process NDIS invoices, managing accounts, and generally organising us all. When not at Out Loud, Kylie spends her time researching far-away places for family holidays.

Anderson Neurological and Developmental Services
Co-Located at Wollaston Shopping Centre, Anderson and Out Loud formed a formal company relationship in June 2015. We work closely together to provide Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services to families across a range of locations. Our services are registered together under the National Disability Insurance Schemet, to allow families to access a trans-disciplinary support for Agency Managed NDIS funds under Anderson.
